I've used Chud for years for my heating, cooling, and other such needs. Scheduling is easy and I can schedule within a reasonable time. Office staff give me actual good customer service (and I'm never on hold forever with a bot). They are open to some alternate payment options. Service techs always arrive on time, are respectful, and give me a full status report of my heating/coolng system. I strongly recommend this company.

Lennox Model # XC13-048-230-04 Serial # 5810L10778 Completed a preventative maintenance maintenance on a 12 year old Lennox unit. Changed out customer supplied 16x20x4 filter. The temperature split was 21. The condensate pump and drain line are operating properly. Then I went outside performed a amperage readings on the compressor 8.4 amps and condenser fan motor 1.2 amps. Then I checked contactor and capacitor, the contactor was operating properly the capacitor was very rusted and operating at low readings me and the customer decided it would be better to just replace it now, they also, paid for 1 year of the chud club membership system is operating properly at this point.
Performed a preventative maintenance on a Lennox AC unit. Model number: XC13-048-230-03. Serial number: 5810F19873. Upon arrival the heat was on at the thermostat. I watched it to AC and went downstairs and watched the unit run. I turned the unit off at the furnace and removed the panel for the evaporator coil. I inspected the coil for any dust or dirt build up. Poured water into the condensate trap and watched the water drain properly. I poured water into the condensate pump and watched the water pump out properly. Removed the panels to the furnace and checked the blower motor and fan for any dust build up. Checked the electrical connections to make sure they were properly secure. Replaced the 16x25x1 filter. Took an amp draw for the motor. 7.3 amps. Placed panels back in the unit and turned the unit on at the furnace. Went outside to the condenser and watched the unit run. Removed the panel and brushed out any spiderwebs. Performed preventative maintenance for a high efficiency Lennox AC system. Model #EL296UH110XV60C-05, serial #5915D04887. Upon arrival the thermostat was set for heat. I powered the thermostat down and removed the access panels. The evaporator coil’s are clean and in good condition. I tested the drain pan, drain line and condensate pump with several bottles of water to ensure that there are no leaks or clogs. I replaced the air filter size 20x25x4 homeowner supplied. I checked all electrical connections to ensure that they are secure and in good condition. I re attached the access panels and powered the system back up. I called for AC and observed the system starting normally. The condenser coils are clean and in good condition. The condenser amp draws are 1.13 for the fan and 6.45 for the compressor. The temperature split is at a 21° differential. The system is operating properly at this time. MA is due for renewal. I presented the homeowner with several solutions. Homeowner went with
Came out today for a no ac call. Upon inspection I found the carrier system calling for a but the condenser would not come on. Model #38TKB024300, serial #1498E2066. Upon further inspection I found that the capacitor was extremely bloated. I replace the capacitor and the system started right up. The temperature split is now at a 20° differential and is operating properly. I explained to the homeowner that his system is 25 years old and is in rough condition. The homeowner is aware of the condition of his system and is not looking to update the system. Chud cannot Guarantee that the system continue to operate problem free.
Did a maintenance on a gas furnace and humidifier. System is 3 years old. I cleaned flame sensor, ohmed out the HSI. Also did a amp check on the blower motor (3.5) inducer motor was (.6) also changed out 20x25x1 filter. Cleaned blower motor housing and burner rack. Did a humidifier maintenance made sure condensate pump was working and that humidifier was draining. And changed out #35 humidifier pad. Came out today for a no heat call. Weil-McLain boiler model #eg-75-PI. Upon inspection I found that the thermostat was calling for heat but the boiler failed to light. I can see the spark igniter sparking but the pilot won’t light. I powered the system down and removed the igniter to inspect it . I found some debris in the pilot. I was able to clear the debris and test the system. The system fired right up. I cycled the system on and off a few times to make sure the system would ignite. The system is operating properly at this time however it is very old. It is my professional opinion that the system should be updated due to its age. The homeowner agrees and would like a quote on a replacement system. I will contact chud’s comfort advisor with all the details.
Performed preventative maintenance on a Ruud furnace. Upon arrival I performed a combustion analysis test and the O2 is 7% and CO is 5 ppm. I checked all electrical connections to ensure they are secured. Checked pressure switch tube for clogs. Cleaned flame sensor and burner box. Homeowner says unit was a little louder than last year, sound coming from inducer motor but does not seem to have an issue, pulled correct amps, windings are in good condition. Performed preventative maintenance for a crown boiler model #c247-400, serial #519900080. Upon arrival the system was calling for heat so I took a combustion analysis test and received the following results, 02 is at 15.3 and the co levels are at 19ppm. The water press is at 15psi and the limit is set for 190°F. There are no signs of leaks in the copper pipes. I powered the system down and removed and cleaned the burners and burner box. I powered the system back up and called for heat. Observed the system start normally. I let the system run until it teach the desired temp. The system is operating properly at this time.

I took a combustion analysis test and received the following readings, o2 is 8.8% and the co levels are 9ppm. The supply temp is 140°F. The inducer motor amp draw is 1.95 and the blower motor amp draw is 4.6. I powered the system down removed and cleaned carbon off of the flame sensor and cleaned out the burners and burner box. Checked the pressure switch for clogs and cleaned out the trap. Tested the drain line and condensate pump with several bottles of water to ensure that there are no leaks or clogs. The Merv filter was replaced in the spring. Checked all electrical connections to ensure that they are secure and in good condition. I powered the system back up and checked for proper operation. The system started without any issues. The system is operating properly at this time.

Completed full Goodman system installation. Inside adapted to existing electrical, ductwork, gas line, and line set. Ran all new flue piping to chimney. Added Honeywell merv 16x25x4 filter cabinet. Installed customer supplied thermostat. Installed April aire model 700m humidifier. Outside replaced disconnect box, whip, and pad. Cycled and tested, system working properly at this time.
Came out today to install a new condensate pump, 30 feet of vinyl tubing, perform preventative maintenance and humidifier service. I removed the old condensate pump and vinyl tubing and installed a new pro select condensate pump. Ran new 3/8 vinyl tubing from the condensate pump to the utility sink. Removed and cleaned carbon off of the flame sensor, cleaned out the burners and burner box. The air filter was replaced on PA’s last visit. Checked all electrical components needed for heating to ensure that they are secure and in good condition. Cleaned out the trap and tested the new condensate pump. Checked to ensure that the pressure switches were free of any debris. Powered the system back up and called for heat. Performed a combustion analysis test and received the following readings, o2 is at 12%, co levels are
Came out to do preventative and within a few minutes found the tubing and pump totally clogged with what looks to be drywall dust and debris or some type of sludge. Gave homeowner quote to replace tubing. Did not have enough materials to get the work completed today. Maintenance services will be completed at the time of repair. N/C today. Will collect full balance on completion when we can properly test the system.
Preventative maintenance on Lennox gas furnace. Intermittent pressure switch issue (E223) due to small amount of sediment build up on inducer port. Cleared port, pulled/cleaned flame sensor, verified proper amperage on inducer and indoor blower motor. *Homeowner changes own MERV 11 (X6670) 16x25x5 filters. Homeowner also has a power humidifier that they have turned off, and do not have an interest in using due to past drainage issues. Combustion analysis completed CO PPM 10, temp rise verified at 49 degrees in 2nd stage. System is operating properly and ready for the season.
